100 Mile COMPETITORS & SUPPORTERS CAR PARKING.............(also, please see the map - here)
Competitors/Supporters/Tent area & unofficial feeding station is situated on the main A5 Bypass Road in Castletown.
This area will be open for parking and pitching of tents at 09.00hrs on Saturday morning...
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 09.00hrs
This area will then close at 12.45hrs
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE ANY LATER.
The A5 Bypass Road (South Side) will be officially closed to ALL traffic at 13.00hrs.
This is to allow a work party to safely cone off the road ways/streets (mandatory requirement for the safe running of this event).
There are 500 road cones that need to be in position plus numerous road safety signs before the event can start....These can only be position on the day of the race between 13.00hrs - 14.00hrs
So everyone's cooperation is required.
PLEASE PARK AS INSTRUCTED by Marshals on the day
PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO overnight camping allowed in this area on any night leading up to the event, except for the Saturday into Sunday.....
We will have a covered area with tables and seating for those people who do not have their own shelter.
There will be feeding tables position at the side of the track. These tables
are only to be used for feeding from.
THEY ARE NOT FOR STORING OR PREPARING FOOD ON
All food storage and preparation must be done in the covered area on the tables provided there.
LITTER....
There will be extra large waste bins positioned in this area.
PLEASE PUT ALL YOUR LITTER IN THEM...
Please leave the area in the same condition you found it.........
"FREE OF LITTER"
PLEASE PARK AS INSTRUCTED by Marshals on the day
NOTE TO ALL...........
The street lights will remain on all night. The lighting is good in this area but I would recommend you also have a head torch or some sort of extra lighting as an aid.
I would also recommend having a thermos flask for holding hot water/tea/food.
There is no power supply in this area
Toilets are situated at the rear of the Southern 100 Clubhouse
We are looking to have a supply of hot water also available from the Southern 100 Clubhouse (12.00am until 3am)
This area is also very close to a number of residential homes.
In order to respect the residents in this area there will be a "Noise Curfew" from 12.00am until 07.00am
So...PLEASE...No noise
Therefore..... No generators, No music, No shouting, No slamming of car doors etc...
Any other questions can be answer on the day....
This is the first time this event has been held on closed roads in Castletown. With every ones cooperation it will not be the last!!!!!
Thanks for your help,
100 Mile Committee.
